SLO Gecko is being created by Jim Morgan. We are based in San Luis Obispo County (SLO), California. We are a small, private breeder hoping to expand our hobby into a business. Our story... I grew up amongst a menagerie of animals and have always had a passion for them. At the age of thirteen I got my first job at a local pet shop. I continued to work in just about every pet shop in the county up to the age of nineteen. At this time, while working in one of these small town pet shops, I met a girl, Ashley. After dating for a few years Ashley and I decided that we would try our luck in the big city. We moved down to the L.A. area, where we spent four years. Ashley attended the Exotic Animal Training and Management program at Moorpark College. While she was in school I worked for a great company called Sea Dwelling Creatures, which is a large wholesaler and distributer of marine fish. We are now back, in SLO County. Ashley is now working for Zoo Med, which you should be familiar with if you have any interest in reptiles. I am in the U.S. Navy Reserves. In addition to keeping and breeding Leopard Geckos, we also have poison dart frogs, cape dwarf geckos, a sulcata tortoise, a chinchilla, a reeves turtle, a Kenya sand boa, fish, a dog and cats, and even goats. All of our animals are part of the family. All are given expert care and lots of love!
